This fall, NGPF released six experimental interactives: browser-based tools that students can use with no student account. Over the next five weeks, we’ll highlight one each week and ask for your honest feedback. First up is the Compound Growth Time Machine.
These interactives are a new kind of resource for NGPF. Instead of linking to third-party calculators or static worksheets, we built tools that students work through directly. We made a deliberate mix of types, including a learning module, calculators, a data activity, and a teacher tool, so we could learn which kinds teachers actually want.
All six are still in beta, but they’re ready to use with your students now and aren’t going away. Your feedback will decide which kinds of interactives NGPF builds next.
The Compound Growth Time Machine is NGPF’s first interactive learning module. Students make four predictions about how money grows, see what actually happens, and reflect on the difference. At the end, they build their own scenario and can print their results or save them as a PDF.
Sign in to your NGPF Teacher Account, work through the interactive the way a student would, and rate it from 1 to 10 in the box that appears in the bottom-right corner. In the comment box, tell us:
Try the Compound Growth Time Machine and share your rating.
Thank you for sharing your time and classroom expertise with us. We hope you and your students enjoy these interactives.
